Responsibilities
HSE Management System Implementation:
Assist in the implementation and enforcement of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system to ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
Toolbox Talks and Site Inductions:
Conduct daily toolbox talks to ensure workforce awareness of site-specific risks and safety protocols.
Carry out site inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors to familiarize them with site safety policies and procedures.
Inspections and Equipment Monitoring:
Perform daily site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure safe and proper functioning in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA):
Identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
Maintain up-to-date records of identified risks and implemented control strategies.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification are an added advantage.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas sector is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering toolbox talks and training.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and recommend practical safety solutions.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
