As a Mining Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily site activities, ensuring safe and efficient gold and lithium extraction, adherence to industry standards, and environmental protection.
You will lead and guide your team, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical practices.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise daily mining operations on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with geological standards.
Lead and mentor blue-collar workers, promoting a collaborative and motivated team culture.
Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental best practices, minimising the ecological footprint of the mining operations.
Conduct routine site inspections to assess safety, quality, and compliance with geological and environmental protocols.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Provide regular reports on operational progress, safety performance, and environmental impact to management.
Foster a culture of ethical practice, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of the mining operations.
Train and develop workers to enhance their skills and knowledge in sustainable mining practices and geology-related activities.
Collaborate with the management team to continuously improve operational processes, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of geological principles, mining techniques, and environmental management practices.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and integrity in previous roles.
Experience in supervising blue-collar workers in a mining or construction environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental protection protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a focus on safety, quality, and ethical conduct.
The ability to communicate effectively in Hausa is highly desired to facilitate smooth communication with local workers and stakeholders.
