Job Introduction

Meadow Hall School is recruiting for a Mandarin Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students in Years 7–11. This is an exciting opportunity to guide young learners through their Mandarin language journey, helping them achieve fluency and academic excellence. Shortlisted candidates would be expected to attend a panel interview session either on site or virtual and a Micro-Teaching session. The shortlisted candidate would then undergo background and reference checks, medical tests before given a formal letter of employment.

Expected resumption date: 3rd of January 2025.

Salary for Experienced Mandarin Teacher Min: N500, 000. Competitive and commensurate with skills and experience.

Main Resposibilities

Ability to teach Mandarin to students in Years 7–11, using innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning.
Prepare students for advanced proficiency levels, ensuring alignment with HSK 6 standards.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular evaluations and feedback to support their growth.
Utilize digital tools and platforms to create engaging, interactive lessons that bring the language and culture to life.
Support students in exam preparation and academic assessments through tailored approaches.
Collaborate with other educators to enhance the language curriculum and integrate best practices.

Skills and Experience

Proficiency in Mandarin, with HSK 6 certification or equivalent.
Proven experience in teaching Mandarin to secondary school students, preferably in Years 7–11.
Strong skills in assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Ability to effectively integrate educational technology into lesson delivery.
Creativity and enthusiasm for making language learning engaging and accessible
