Assistant Field Operator

Description 

Is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the processes and equipment and maintains continuous monitoring to ensure that the plant is operating within normal parameters and takes the appropriate action in the event of a process upset.
Is responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors, from onshore maintenance, facilities or project group, activities are monitored for safe working practices and follows the safe system of work in the assigned area of responsibility.
Operate and maintain operation/equipment in accordance with approved practices, plans, programs, forecasts, contracts, and Government regulations.
Is responsible for carrying out process isolations as described in the safe working practices and procedures and ensuring that all Company guidelines and regulatory requirements and procedures are strictly adhered to.
When delegated, is responsible for ensuring that all platform consumables and stocks items such as chemicals are maintained at optimum levels.
Plan and prioritizes work in accordance with Cargo Supervisor’s instructions especially those that impact facility operations.
Ensures that an accurate and comprehensive running machinery log is maintained while on duty.
Is a member of the FSO Emergency response team and ensures that he understands his responsibilities under the emergency response plan, especially when on duty during night-shift.
Willing to assist in Mentoring Junior Operators and trainees. Assist with providing effective On the Job training. Assist with Mentoring junior operations personnel in the following types of operations activities: Loading, Offloading, Running and Maintenance of Marine Equipment and Chevron MSW Standards.
Willingness to work with a multi skilled team and should be prepared to carry out any task assigned by the Cargo Supervisors. This can include assisting other groups such as maintenance, preparing procedures, facility cleaning, administration duties and training of other personnel in operational procedures.
Assist with first line equipment lubrication and basic maintenance.
Becoming proficient in LPG offloading operations within 6 to 9 months after 1st offloading occurs.
Responsible for ensuring facility housekeeping in machinery spaces are adequate.
Support management objectives and operating plan.
Proceed on own initiative and judgment with minimum supervision.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess a B.Eng in relevant qualifications with 3 – 7 years work experience.
