Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Site Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations at our construction site.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for budget management, cost tracking, payroll processing, and financial reporting to ensure the project’s financial goals are met.
This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction finance, and the ability to work closely with project managers and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the site’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Process payroll for site workers and handle expense reimbursements.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs stay within budget.
Prepare and present financial reports, including profit/loss statements and cash flow analyses.
Reconcile accounts, including vendor payments, invoices, and purchase orders.
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate tracking of materials and equipment expenses.
Provide financial insights to project managers to support decision-making.
Assist in auditing processes and ensure timely submission of financial documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus.
Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of cost control, project accounting, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
