Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Take Orders: Take accurate orders from customers, repeating back orders to ensure accuracy.
Serve Food and Beverages: Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
Handle Payments: Handle customer payments, operate a point-of-sale system, and make change as needed.
Maintain a Clean Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the dining area, bar, and kitchen.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Greet and Seat Customers: Greet customers, seat them at tables, and provide menus.
Answer Questions: Answer customers’ questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Manage Table Settings: Manage table settings, including linens, silverware, and glassware.
Work with Other Staff: Work collaboratively with other staff members, including kitchen staff, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses.
Handle Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Participate in Side Work: Participate in side work, such as restocking supplies, folding linens, and cleaning equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Attend Staff Meetings: Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and company policies.
Follow Safety and Health Protocols: Follow safety and health protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service, even in challenging situations.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an HND / OND qualification with 2 – 3 years experience.
