West Africa Resource Manager- Industrial & Energy Technology

As the West Africa Resource Manager, you will be responsible for the Field Operations Resource management, creating a comprehensive training and development plan for the Field Engineers, Providing expert resource identification and allocation to the resource planners, technical competency roadmaps, sharing risks and recommendations to the Service Management & Operations Leader.

The West Africa Resource Manager will be responsible for:

Resource Development

Leading the performance development of the field service organization ensuring resource growth, demand fulfillment and planning (i.e. Hiring plan and number of resources, logistic, Direct Hires Vs Fresh Graduates, technical support need, planning, coaching & mentoring, priority setting etc.)
Developing local talent, their training plan to enhance the technical competency and readiness for site activities, assuring the achievement of BH FSEs Certification.
Leading and motivating field resources to establish outstanding level of quality in execution phase of projects, taking the ownership of all site activities.
Establishing relationship with local suppliers selecting local Manpower to ensure 100% fulfilment.
Managing resource feedback both internal & external to drive development, ensure all lesson-learnt from previous events, best practices and top programs are applied with support from Service Management & Operations Leader.

Resource Assignment & Mobilization

Assigning and mobilizing the regional resources on time and in compliance with immigration regulations in other countries.
Overseeing and managing cross-border moves into region of responsibility and ensure moves are made compliantly – from a VISA and a TAX perspective – and in an efficient fashion.
Interacting with other regional Regional Planners, SMs and with FSE Assignment COE to support the global FSEs demand and guarantee the assignment of adequate and appropriate skills.
Ensuring Fit For Job (FFJ) & Fit for Duty (FFD)  readiness of regional resource pool.

Operational Excellence

Driving HSE culture within the regional FS pool and on sites within the region in collaboration with HSE team.
Collaboratively implement the procedure described in BH IET QMS for Operation Excellence
Supporting the Project Managers in the execution of Field Service & Installation activities for On Call and Turn Key projects across TPS.
Driving efficient & effective use of TPS operational processes & tools by the resource pool to achieve outstanding business performance and excellent outcomes for the customers.

Financials

Maximizing the FSEs utilization; manage the budget to minimize the hourly cost, playing a proactive role to increase the productivity and to identify area of further improvements.
Interacting with Local Finance team to track and report properly the cost of Field Service.
Managing the resource time entry for payroll  purposes to ensure accountability, probity, accuracy and compliant payout.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have proven experience in Field Services, Team Management, Project execution, Resource management, Planning, and customer relations within Oil & Gas industry.
Have at least 10 years as Field Service personnel plus 5 years experience in managing a Team or employees within the Oil & Gas or Utility industry.
Have a degree in Engineering with NYSC discharge or exemption.
Show experience of collaboration and motivating teams within an operational and matrix environment.
Be able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally and collaborate with internal stakeholders and diverse team.
Have excellent written, reporting and presentation skills.
