Project Manager Head Corporate Communications

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for driving positive change. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in fundraising and grant writing to support the organization’s projects.

Work arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement project plans, goals, and objectives in line with the organization’s strategic plan.
Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate and lead project teams, including staff, volunteers, and partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
Monitor and evaluate project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
Prepare and submit project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
Research and identify funding opportunities to support the organization’s projects.
Develop and write grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials.
Build and maintain relationships with donors, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an NGO setting.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects, including budget management and team leadership.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Asana, or Trello.
Experience in fundraising and grant writing, with a proven track record of securing funding.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Strong commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

Desirable Qualifications:

Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
Experience working in a similar context, such as international development or humanitarian response
Knowledge of donor requirements and regulations, such as USAID, EU, or UN
Fluency in local languages, such as Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo
Integrity and accountability.
