Salary: N300,000 – N350,000 net
Our Client is a vibrant and fast-paced hair salon dedicated to providing exceptional beauty services to our clients. Our salon is a haven for creativity and style, where we focus on delivering personalized experiences.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for the beauty industry. This role requires a balance of business acumen and a deep understanding of what it takes to create a positive and productive salon environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the salon to ensure smooth functioning.
Oversee staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during all business hours.
Implement and maintain salon policies and procedures.
Prepare and manage the salon’s budget, focusing on maximizing profitability.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
Manage vendor contracts, and inventory control.
Recruit, train, and manage salon staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Conduct regular training and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
Address any staff-related issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all clients.
Manage client appointments and ensure efficient scheduling.
Address customer complaints or issues, striving to resolve them promptly and satisfactorily.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive salon traffic and increase sales.
Manage the salon’s social media presence and create promotional campaigns.
Drive product sales through effective merchandising and staff training.
Identify opportunities for expanding services and enhancing client offerings.
Network within the community to build partnerships and grow the salon’s client base.
Stay informed on industry trends and innovations, integrating new services and products as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records for all business operations, including financials, inventory, and client databases.
Ensure the salon is compliant with all local regulations, including health and safety standards.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Creative Director.
Person Specification:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in a management role within the beauty, retail, or hospitality industry.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent conflict resolution skills, and provide damage control guidance on issues that may arise.
Ability to work flexible/long hours, including evenings and weekends.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in salon management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the beauty industry and current trends is an advantage.
