Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer to provide general medical care and patient management in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality care. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing patients’ health conditions while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general medical care and patient management, including diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patients’ health conditions.
Conduct medical assessments, take patient histories, and perform physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assist in making informed medical decisions.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare teams, including specialists, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information in medical records.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
Participate in emergency medical care as needed.
Stay updated on medical developments and apply evidence-based practices in patient care.
Adhere to hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices in medical care.
Qualifications/Experience:
MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
A current practicing medical license.
NYSC discharge certificate or exemption.
Previous experience in general medical practice is desirable, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
Other Requirements:
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Highly motivated team player with a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
An interest in neurosurgery is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
