Recptionist/ Front Desk Officer

Responsibilities

Provide a Positive First Impression: Ensure patients and visitors have a welcoming and positive experience.
Maintain a Welcoming Environment: Keep the hospital environment calm, quiet, and inviting for patients and their families.
Collect and Manage Patient Information: Gather patient details and update medical records accurately.
Data Backup: Log daily registrations into Microsoft Excel for backup.
Handle Telephone Communications: Answer calls with polite and consistent phone manners, adhering to proper telephone etiquette.
Schedule Appointments: Organize and manage patient appointment schedules effectively.
Coordinate Patient Flow: Facilitate and monitor the movement of patients within the hospital.
Assist with Documentation: Help patients complete necessary forms and paperwork.
Maintain a Clean Reception Area: Ensure the front desk and surrounding areas are tidy and orderly.
Process Billing and Payments: Handle payment transactions and billing processes efficiently.
Provide Comfort to Distressed Patients: Address appointment issues and offer emotional support during stressful situations or emergencies.
Manage Social Media Accounts: Oversee and maintain the hospital’s social media presence.
Ensure Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and hospital information at all times.
Generate Relevant Reports: Create and provide necessary reports as required.
Stock Front Office Supplies: Keep the reception area well-stocked with essential stationery and consumables.
Liaise with Departments: Communicate professionally and discreetly with all medical departments.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting or its equivalent.
One to two years working experience

Requirements / Skills:

Proficient in Healthcare Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working in a hospital is an added advantage.
Face-to-face experience with customers.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Highly motivated team player, willing to go the extra mile.
Must be presentable and smart.
Attention to detail.
Fast learner.
Must reside within Magodo, Ketu, Ikosi, Shangisha, Berger, Ikeja, or nearby areas.
