Main Duties
Ensure that all dishes are cooked well and presented in an aesthetically pleasing way
Oversee food preparation, checking that all kitchen staff are performing their duties
Monitor equipment quality and order new equipment as needed
Help the restaurant determine how much food and supplies need to be ordered.
Qualifications
Minimum of SSCE Certificate
Certificate / Diploma in food related courses.
3 – 6 years of experience.
Required Skills:
Communication: The ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and create a collaborative atmosphere
Food safety: The ability to maintain a clean workspace and ensure food is safe to eat
Cooking techniques: The ability to understand ingredients and how they interact with each other in different cooking techniques
Time management: The ability to orchestrate the kitchen team to meet the demands of peak dining hours
Creativity: The ability to develop innovative and visually appealing dishes
Food preparation:The ability to prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards.
