This role is pivotal in ensuring our financial processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our business goals, while also scaling a key service offering in payroll management to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Finance and Accounting Operations:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for Talentsquare.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and business growth.
Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure financial alignment across all departments.
Establish internal controls and scalable financial processes to support business expansion.
Client-Facing Payroll Solutions
Lead Talentsquare’s payroll service offerings for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Onboard new clients to payroll systems and provide tailored solutions for their workforce needs.
Conduct payroll audits and ensure adherence to relevant tax and labor regulations.
Serve as the primary advisor to clients on payroll and compensation strategies.
Identify opportunities to expand payroll and financial services for clients, contributing to revenue growth.
Strategic Leadership
Build and refine Talentsquare’s financial systems to ensure operational excellence.
Provide insights on financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning.
Develop scalable payroll and finance processes to position Talentsquare as a leader in talent and workforce solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or payroll management, ideally within staffing, consulting, or HR-related industries.
Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
Strong understanding of tax laws, labor regulations, and financial compliance standards in Nigeria or Africa.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Proven ability to create scalable financial and payroll solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
