Job Summary:
The UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Technician is responsible for the assembling, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of UAV systems. This role involves performing inspections, upgrading software, repairing hardware, and ensuring the drones are operationally safe and compliant with all regulations. The UAV Technician will work closely with engineers and operators to guarantee the efficient and safe operation of the drones.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on UAVs, including engines, rotors, sensors, and onboard systems based on instructions from the engineers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot UAV hardware issues, replacing or repairing faulty components.
Perform battery management, charging, and replacements to ensure optimal performance.
Update and maintain software, firmware, and any flight control systems as needed.
Inspection and Testing:
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to identify potential issues.
Assist in field testing and validating UAV performance under different conditions.
Calibrate sensors, GPS, and other onboard systems to ensure precise navigation and operation.
Support Operations:
Provide technical support to UAV operators during missions or field operations.
Assist in the integration of new systems and components into existing UAV platforms.
Participate in safety briefings and operational planning sessions.
SALARY EXPECTATION: N200,000 – N300,000
