Business Development Manager, Public Sector

Job Description

Being able to build a long-range pipeline and manage multiple contracts to their end date
Play a key part in identifying B2B opportunities for the business going forward 
Managing these opportunities through the sales cycle and post-sale care
Developing and maintaining B2B effective relationships and creating new relationships for the business with the primary goal of increasing the client’s B2B market share and recognition of the business
Negotiating current contracts and securing new contracts with business customers and third-party intermediaries
Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products and services to the market.
Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s marketing goals.
Gathering, investigating, analyzing, and summarizing market data and trends to prepare reports and develop insights and strategies for business growth.
Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
Maintaining relationships with clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
Collaborating with the team to create marketing campaigns and promotional materials and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiating and closing deals with clients and liaising with third-party marketing agencies to drive business growth.
Providing regular reports on business development activities and progress.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Economics or any related course.
At least 5 years experience doing Business Development Sales for an internet service provider company
7- 10 years of account management/business development experience
Sales experience
Lead generation experience  
Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Enthusiastic about meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
Cross-functional skills to collaborate with different teams and departments.
Availability to immediately resume is an added advantage.
