The MEAL Enumerator will support data collection activities under the guidance of the MEAL Officer, contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection:
Conduct surveys, interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and observations using provided tools.
Ensure accurate recording of data on digital or paper-based systems.
Verify collected data for accuracy and completeness before submission.
Community Engagement:
Work respectfully and professionally with community members during data collection.
Address participants’ concerns and questions about the data collection process.
Data Management:
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all collected data.
Submit completed tools and devices to the MEAL Officer in a timely manner.
Reporting:
Report challenges encountered during fieldwork to the MEAL Officer.
Provide detailed feedback on field observations and data quality issues.
Ethical Conduct:
Adhere to PRIDE’s ethical guidelines and data collection protocols.
Maintain sensitivity to cultural, social, and gender dynamics in the communities.
Deliverables
High-quality and accurate data submissions in line with project requirements.
Detailed fieldwork reports highlighting successes, challenges, and observations.
Participation in team debriefings and review sessions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Minimum of a diploma or degree in social sciences, statistics, or related fields.
Experience:
Previous experience as a data collector or enumerator in humanitarian or development contexts.
Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Fluency in Hausa and English language is Mandatory, shuwa and Kanuri is added advantage.
Basic understanding of MEAL principles and tools.

Working Conditions
Frequent travel to project sites, often in remote areas.
