Coordinate safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
Ensure the organisation meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
(Re)-orientate employees and ensure they are aware of their responsibilities with regards to health and safety.
Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations on site.
Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and that recommended improvements are implemented and adhered to.
Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported.
Person Specification
BSc/HND in an Engineering discipline.
Professional HSE certification like NEBOSH, ISPON, etc. will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 3 years of cognate work experience is a MUST.
