Volunteer Opportunity Summary:Dedicated volunteers are needed to work on a Financial Education project for schools in Lagos State. Volunteers will be assigned to schools that they will visit on a weekly basis to ensure the effective delivery of the Social and Financial Education curriculum. Volunteers will monitor project activity and assist teachers and project staff. Volunteers will be assigned to both rural and urban schools. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people who love children and youth as well as have some knowledge of financial literacy. Volunteers will work for 20 hours a week for a period of three months from January to March 2019. Volunteer training will take place in December 2018. This is a great opportunity to build your CV and get valuable work experience.Reports to:National Program OfficerPosition Requirements: Qualification and experience needed for this position include:
BA, BSc or HND with second class upper or higher
Master of English Language (Yoruba language added advantage)
Must be familiar with Lagos environs and able to travel to hard to reach areas in the state
Basic knowledge of project management
Good communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills, ability to work with a team and independently, under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Good IT skills
Passion for child and youth development
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Must be honest, hardworking, transparent and accountable
