Supervising and monitoring the implementation of the Child Protection Program activities in Dikwa
Leading and supervising the case workers and PSS facilitators assigned to each community we are working with to ensure that the activities are implemented in the right manner and within the required Child Protection standards and objectives.
Identifying and registering UASC new arrivals
He will supervise and monitor the CBCPC and mobilizers to develop and execute activities as set in the program work plan. Community sensitization, supervision and capacity building will be part of the primary purpose of the position.

SCOPE OF ROLE:Staffs directly reporting to this post are case workers, PSS facilitatorsKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Program Planning and Implementation

Support Child Protection manager, develop, implement and monitor quarterly, monthly and weekly activity plans to achieve expected results. This includes planning of activities, budgets and procurement.
Ensure that all planned activities such as CFS Community based CPC, community awareness rising, and case management are implemented on time.
Technically lead program activities especially training of caseworkers and PSS facilitators and ensure that they are being implemented within SCoN
Actively participate and play a leadership role in the Coordination team, bringing key issues, proposing solutions and collaborating with other teams to build synergies and efficiencies.
Identify and document vulnerable children including separated and unaccompanied minor and CAAG
Document the separated and unaccompanied children, according to the standard family tracing and reunification procedures and in line with Street Child protection policy
Conduct community awareness on identification of vulnerable children and the process of registration of separated/unaccompanied children including family tracing.
Conduct community consultation on temporary care arrangements of separated/unaccompanied children.
Refer cases with specific needs to the competent service providers, follow up and document referred cases.
Ensure that urgent and challenging cases are immediately discussed with manager
Conduct follow up  visits of children reunified with their relatives
Report any violation of the child safe guarding policy of SCoN

Staff supervision and mentorship

Identify any staffing issues and coordinate closely with the Child Protection manager to resolve them as appropriate.

Monitoring and Reporting

Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports
Lead on and complete weekly reports.
Participate in team reviews of results and program progress
Ensure that all program data is properly and regularly collected by field staff, check data and ensure that it is logically presented to the Child Protection Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

University degree in sociology, social sciences, psychology
Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience in child protection case management, child protection programmes or related field in the institution or the community.
Proven ability to work as part of a team
Strong understanding of the situation of children in the community and demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of children in the community.
Ability to identify the main gaps in child protection in the given context to inform a holistic response for children.
Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Experience in training and capacity building and willingness to dedicate time and patience to partner development.
